AZ Game and Fish instructors typically offer a Hunter Education course in Heber-Overgaard at some point during the year.
The above link ("Schedule") to the AZGFD website is the best source for Hunter's Education classes throughout the state. Any classes taught in Heber-Overgaard or our neighboring communities would be posted on their webpage as soon as the class has been scheduled.
Hunter Education is required by law for youth ages ten (10) to fourteen (14) to hunt big game. However, the course is open to all ages and family participation is encouraged. Courses are taught by local volunteer instructors certified by the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Classes
For those wishing to possess a permit to carry a concealed weapon in Arizona, local DPS classes are offered regularly by Armor Up!. Please consult their website for details.
