Area Information!
The Mogollon Rim boasts several excellent recreational fishing lakes within 30 minutes from Heber-Overgaard (all are West of Heber-Overgaard off of Highway 260):

- Willow Springs Lake
- Woods Canyon Lake
- Chevelon Canyon Lake
- Knoll Lake
- Bear Canyon Lake
Most lakes are stocked from April through September with rainbow trout, but other species do exist in some lakes. Click here for the Arizona Game and Fish Department species chart or the stocking schedule. Many of the Rim Lakes are snowed-in during winter months, although many hearty folks brave the walk through the snow to ice fish (be careful).
Arizona Game and Fish Department publishes a weekly fishing report, but you can also contact Lone Eagle Outdoors directly for more specific reports during fishing season.
If you need a license, following are the 2008 License and Stamp fees. Please note that all AZ Game and Fish retail license dealers sell licenses, permits and stamps at the same state-mandated price.
